Our team members Benni Pong and Ivy Wong have participated in the IFLA 75th Anniversary Artistic Landscape Competition and were announced as the Finalist of the competition.

WEEDsilience is a beautifully composed photograph that reminds us that not all landscape need to be designed, and that small, incidental and otherwise unloved opportunities in our cities contribute towards urban greening and resilience. The photograph is a powerful statement that invites us to think of our human settlements as rich biodiverse environments.
WEEDsilience is conceptually strong because it argues for a new landscape aesthetic that is based on the life-giving spontaneity of pioneer species. The derelict past is being overtaken by a flourishing built structure hints at an alternative future relationship to nature where control is not the defining element.
